[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]What are these “angelic” like entities mentioned in Ezekiel which appear to have technological-like devices?
By looking at archaeological evidence of the Ancient Near East (including Israel, Samaria, Assyria, Edom, and Persia) Christopher shows that Cherubim should not be considered as literal angels, but rather as creatures of art that illustrate the power, majesty, and intelligence of great kings. These creatures were used by many cultures in this geographic area and time period. Christopher concludes the session by providing an application of what these artistic creatures can teach us today about God. Biblical references referring to cherubim include: Genesis
3:24 Exodus 36:8 Exodus 37:6-9 1 Kings
7:13-14, 27-30, 33 2 Kings
19:13 Psalm 80:1 Psalm 99:1 Isaiah
37:16 Ezekiel 1:1, 5-7 Ezekia
